Grocery Power Pro ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal-use shopping list app. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Who We Are

2. Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Google account info — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided when you sign in with Google. We use this to identify your account and display your name in the app.
- Shopping lists and items — list names, store names, aisle assignments, item names, quantities, prices, coupon notes, and check-off status that you create in the app.
- Recipes — recipe names, ingredients, and directions you save.
- Shopping history — completed trip records including date, store, item count, and total spent.
- Settings and preferences — your in-app preferences such as currency symbol and display options.
- Household sharing data — if you use household sharing, we store the unique invite code you generate and the account identifiers of members you invite, so shared content can be linked across accounts.
We do not collect payment information, precise location, contacts, or any data beyond what you explicitly enter into the app.
3. How Your Data Is Stored
All data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database service operated by Google LLC on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by Firebase.
Your data is stored under your unique Google account identifier. Firebase security rules ensure that only your account — and any household members you explicitly invite — can read or write your data.
4. Who Can See Your Data
- You — always, via the app.
- Household members you invite — only after you share an invite code with them. They can see and edit the lists and recipes in your shared household. You can revoke access at any time from Settings.
- Us — as app administrators, we can access the Firebase project for maintenance and debugging, but we do not routinely read user content.
- Google — as the infrastructure provider, Google operates the servers and may process data in accordance with their own privacy policy and terms of service.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party beyond the infrastructure providers above.
5. Google Sign-In
We use Google Sign-In (Firebase Authentication) for account creation and login. When you sign in, Google provides us with your name, email, and profile photo. We do not receive your Google password. Google's use of your information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains in Firestore as long as your account exists. You can delete individual items, lists, recipes, and history entries at any time from within the app.
To delete your account and all data from within the app: Open the app → Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete account". Type DELETE to confirm. This immediately and permanently removes all your lists, recipes, pantry, history, and account data. This cannot be undone.
To request deletion by email: Email GroceryPowerPro@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete my account". We will permanently delete your data within 30 days.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
The app uses your browser's localStorage to store lightweight preferences (such as the last shopping list you used) so they persist across sessions. No tracking cookies are set. We do not use analytics, advertising networks, or any third-party tracking scripts.
8. Children's Privacy
Grocery Power Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
